Percussion Teaching Artist

Stevenson Valentor (Mehtab Kirtan) is an innovative artist, teacher, and composer in

Chicago. He has toured nationally with groups Gramps The Vamp and Bassel & The

Supernaturals, and has released several original albums with said projects amongst others.

He's active in the sound healing, kundalini yoga/mantra, and jazz scenes in Chicago. He

leads his own project, Here & Now, and always has new exciting works on the horizon.

Since 2013, he has been teaching 20+ private students a week. He continues to grow his

student-base in Chicago. He inspires and endows his students with refined technique,

masterful musicianship, self-discipline, self-certainty.

Stevenson acquired a Master's degree in Music Composition from Roosevelt University in

May 2023.
