Litcy Kurisinkal Bio
Litcy Kurisinkal is a political strategist, human rights professional, and community leader with over 15 years of experience in public policy, civic engagement, and international human rights advocacy. She serves as the Midwest Representative of the National Federation of Democratic Women’s History Committee, a National Strategy Committee member of Women Forward, Co-President and founder of the Illinois Democratic Women of Cook County, and a board member of the Indo-American Democratic Organization. She previously served as National Voting Rights Campaign Lead for the Women for Harris–Walz grassroots coalition, Regional Organizing Director for the Democratic Party of Illinois, and elected Chair of the Local School Council in Chicago Public Schools.
Litcy has worked with leading international organizations, including the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, the International Labour Organization, and United Nations Development Programme projects, advancing child rights, labor rights, migrant rights, democratic participation. She also served as a Democracy Project Fellow with the South Asian American Policy & Research Institute in Chicago. She holds a Master in Public Policy from Harvard Kennedy School, a Master's degree in Mathematics from the University of Delhi, and a Postgraduate Diploma in International Human Rights Law from the National Law School of India University. A Cambridge Commonwealth Scholar, she received the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy Paper Prize from Harvard Kennedy School.
