The Kalapriya Dance Company [S1] is set to make its debut under Harini Nilakantan’s direction at the Women in Dance Festival hosted by Ardent Dance Company.
From Ardent Dance:
Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating Women’s History Month through movement, storytelling, and community.
This one-night festival features 18 women-led dance companies and choreographers from across Chicago, Texas, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Michigan, coming together to share bold, original works in an intimate studio setting.
This is not a traditional theater experience — it’s immersive, energetic, and personal. With a mix of seating and standing room and a bar open during the show, audiences are invited to move, mingle, and experience dance in a vibrant, up-close environment.
2 hours of diverse, women-led performance
An intimate, studio performance atmosphere
Post-show mix & mingle with artists
Access to the bar throughout the evening
Seating is first-come, first-served.
Once seats are filled, standing room viewing is available.
Come celebrate the power, perspective, and artistry of women in dance.
We want to give a big thank you to Chicago Danztheater, for the space.
This performance has been generously subsidized through Chicago Danztheatre Ensemble’s artist's support and residency program.
